Here’s what you need to do: Design a header banner for TVIMH! Size 600 (w) x 161 (h). You will be judged on wackiness and on the overall look of the banner.
Winners will see their banner on the header here (oh well, will throw in the virtual chocolates again, if you insist).

Also (not part of the contest) do suggest a good font (type & size) for the blog, am not happy with this one.

I love to send but I can’t do any designing work in my 8 year old PC. MBP is on it’s way, if the last day to send is sometime from now, then I’ll send my entry.
Regarding the font and size, IMO is ok.

see if you can use a rotator like i have done. Every time you load a page (a new session or forced refresh), you get a new header image!

well..c n’t do much abt the banner… as for the fonts.. the size is ok.. you might wanna try out Trebuchet or Book Antiqua. I find them quite good and appealing!!
This one is Verdana if am not mistaken!!

Would’ve loved to design a banner for you, but am absolutely busy right now. So, instead am giving some additional advices that you may find useful.
1> First of all, change your favicon. Favicon is the icon that appears before your site’s URL in the address-bar and before your blog title on the browser tab. Your current favicon is ‘YUK’; looks like I’m visiting some dentist’s site.
2> U can find some impressive fonts n more at Smashing Magazine.
3> Change the background color. This bright red is too tacky.

oooh… a banner design… can the deadline be january? pls pls pls? wont have time before then
as for font, trebuchet seems to be my favourite.. but then i change fonts depending on the context of the post.

Glad you like the font type & size, am just playing around, may end up keeping this one after all or might change, don’t know until I try!

The color though is definitely staying, love it, bright & sunny. Possibly may change it sometime in the future or may just go in for a whole new template.

What would be your theme? Whacky all right but if there are specific images you’d like to use, how’d one incorporate them into the banner? I could give it a shot.

I’ve just gotten used to that bright red color shining in my eyes now. Please dont change it. Kage’s banner is wacky enough.. it’s got 4 pictures of you on one side. How much wackiness can one take?
