2 of my favorite things?
(01) The Rains! And definitely, the first rain! The smell of the earth as the heat of the summer leaves it & as it’s filled with water. The sight of greens - more shades than one can count - on every tree, freshly washed from the sky. The roads, wet, wonderful. The fact that my birthday is approaching. Yes, I love the monsoons! I am a water baby.
(02) And then there are my friends. Friends who’ll laugh with you, cry with you, pray with you, be there for you. Love you always, no matter what. Today was such a blessed day, I got to speak with every single person whom I love. It’s weird, far & near, spoke with them all.
The same day as our first rains here in Mumbai city this monsoons. May it be a good one for all of us!
To end, here’s my dear Bex, lying flat on my bedroom floor with me - after a long session of prayers & before another long session of interesting conversation.

i luv rains too. luv walking when it drizzles. n when it rains heavy, luv standing on the balcony n just watchin it!!

I’ve always loved rain as crazy. That’s why some of my friends used to call me toad in college. I always make it a point to get drenched whenever it’s raining, a little or totally - depending on my mood that day. All your words are exact reflection of my thoughts.

@ Perspective: Hey how you been?! I know how it gets when it’s too rainy (anything in excess is not good definitely) but, hey, I still love the rains!
@ Aparna: I too can sit & watch the rain for hours. In fact that’s what Bex & I were doing - lying on the floor looking out through the windows at the lightening brightening up the sky, the rain pelt against the earth & listening to the thunder. Ah, life, indeed!
