Brian A. Drew Chalker once said:

People always come into your life for a reason, a season and a lifetime. When you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do.

Know exactly what to do?! Yeah right. Recently a close friend of mine (who obviously understands the inabilities of my mind) bought a Tee for me with this saying of the great Socrates:

One thing only I know, and that is that I know nothing

Indeed.

Meanwhile, am glad this fun friend has come to Bbay to live & just not on a visit:

And this person, I bid farewell to as he leaves Bbay. (I’ll miss you dearly!)

Ashish, I promised you the narcissist in me lives & that you’d have pics, and see!
I do not know, yes. But also, I do not lie (well, mostly).

  1. Brian A. Drew Chalker certainly knew a lot more than Socrates :)

  2. colgate, close up and pepsodent - should start buying banner ads here.

  3. @ Born a Libran: Lol! It would appear so, wouldn’t it?!

And though I get you’re joking, let me be serious for a sec: Some time ago, I understood the wisdom behind understanding our lack of wisdom. And there’s this great UB40 song called “Higher Ground” I love for the same reason:

And every hour of every day Im learning more
The more I learn, the less I know about before
The less I know, the more I want to look around
Digging deep for clues on higher ground…

    @ St: :D < — nice?

  • Im Drew’s wife and found this while searching for his name. Just wanted to let you know that I sent the above quote about Drew knowing more than Socrates to him as he serves on board the USS John C Stennis currently deployed to the Gulf and we both enjoyed a laugh.

    Best wishes to all,

    Lori
