Been there. Done that. Have the dark circles under my eyes to prove it.

Can’t possibly sit to recount all my adventures these last couple of days - (a) because they’re too long & (b) because I have to go out & have some more adventures right about now… (yes, I love my life!)

So at the risk of ppl yelling at me for putting up too many pics, here’s a photo diary of what I’ve been upto:

Been BUSY BUSY BUSY at work mostly. And though all my friends did and though I wished as hard as I could, I did not see Brangelina when I was at the Taj Mahal this week. Oh well.

Close friend of mine left to check out whether the grass really is greener on the other side (crossing my fingers for you hon!) - before he left we checked out this South American burger place called ‘Bembos‘ (somewhere on SV Road in Bandra). My reco? Sorry, stay with McDonald’s people, the service is better & the burgers are better too. Only thing that I was impressed with - the size of the french fries - seriously guys, they were loooooooong. Size matters, eh? lol

Have been spending a good amout of quality time with my amazing cousin, her half crazy (ok, full crazy) hubby & her parents who’re holidaying in India presently. Here’s a pic of the lot of us:

Went to Poison (the very chic night club situated on the ground floor of the same building Seijo’s at) for a special party. Had my name on an “entry by invite only” list, thanks only to the gentleman friend who was escorting me (ty, ty). Was a very la-di-dah affair. Filled with all sorts of sexy people. Was specially impressed with Kunal Kapoor - though one girlfriend of mine thinks he’s “yuck” - I though he behaved himself perfectly, especially compared to some of the other stars present.

Zayed Khan? Now that’s another story. Zayed (wearing black sun shades inside the dark place) after getting suitably loaded on whatever he was doing, went up to the DJ’s place & was jumping and waving his hands about & generally showing everyone he was an actor who was very very high. Ok we believe you Zayed. On the positive side, he’s super-crazy-sexy-gorgeous. Really, really.

Another night went out with this guy…

to Pizza Hut and to see ‘The Departed’ at Fame.

We enjoyed the film. It was fast & it was very edgy. And girls, the men in this film are unbelievable. Leo, Matt & Marky Mark - seriously, could there be hotter guys??? Will try to a review later if I have the time. If I don’t, go see the film anyway.

Also been out a couple of times with this guy - who’s apparently programmed his iPod to play every song “especially” for me. Yeah, right, lol.

In the midst of everything did manage to go to Crossword and check out the “70% Sale” they were having.

Trust me, a bunch of crap. None of the books I wanted were on sale. Just two tables in the center of the store, with stuff I guess not many people pick up. Was alone and in a (hmm) crazyish mood so decided to see if if my friend Vijay was right & it was really possible to meet men in a bookstore. Hung around for little under an hour but didn’t see anyone that I’d want to meet. So much for that theory. Picked only two books finally (and yes, no discount except on my members card):

Janet Evanovich (after being highly recommended by aforementioned cousin) - ‘Full Scoop‘ and Marian KeyesThe Other Side of the Story‘. Have never read her before but it was on the NY bestsellers list & I’m trying to get out of comfort territory when it comes to authors. Incidentally, am presently reading Kiran Desai’s “The Inheritance of Loss” (sorry Akshay, I couldn’t wait!), eleven chapters down and I can already see why she won the Booker.

Will end this post where almost all my nights end - mostly at ridiculously weee hours of the morning - at Vistas in the Taj Land’s End (where I usually eat my favorite Pepperoni thin crust pizza with strong coffee). Last night I was so tired I didn’t go partying with any of my friends - I thought I’d just spend ONE night at home (is that too much to ask people??) - but no, got whisked out to Vistas by one persistent soul for dinner anyway. Well, never a no to Vistas.

  1. I never complain about the pictures as long as you neatly organize them in subfolders. Otherwise your gonna screw up the account!

Seems like you’ve had great fun. You don’t remember me anymore. And you call me your brother!

  2. Oh come on! Bandra’s Crosswords is so small that men won’t even fit in. The kids’ section upstairs is neat though.

Go to Landmark. Andheri West. Infiniti Mall.

  3. man, all those pics abt bombay .. saudade

  4. looks like a busy night for you. My cousins were in india when i was getting married and they stayed in marriot and they went to the enigma club there and saw zayed , akshaye kumar and kajol. Zayed was acting crazy from what i heard so i guess he was normal when he was at the DJ table waving hands

  5. @ My darling Aju pooh: Didn’t I call you & phone-hug you last night - before I even saw this silly comment of yours???

@ Vijay: It so happens that I did go to Landmark yesterday!! Went before and after watching Casino Royale at Fame. More about that later. Of course, was with male company so didn’t really scout for any more!

@ Oneil: Well a trip back home might just be in order :) Don’t only send your wifey to Goa!

@ Tulan: Actually the post was not about one night but about a series of different days/nights.

  7. u know i never knew it was called vistas :P
and really what’s a south american burger ? does it do samba or something ?

  8. @ Mehak: Why do all the bookstores do that??? At least the Strand Sale is really a sale - everything’s on discount there!

@ inexile: No smartypants, it’s because it’s a South American owned mnc which has just come to India. Like I needed to say that.

  11. Do you think Martin Scorsese will finally win the Oscar?

  12. @ Kate: :) @ the “soon to become long time fan”! Yeah the iPod dude was very very cute. Had to stop going out with him though, was getting a bit much for me!

    And darling, hugs back!

@ Mario: Don’t know Mario. But the film was DEF a very very good one. I think if he had to win, this would be the one. It’s doing extremely well in the box-office and also has great critic reviews.
