Would rather write a post titled “Why I do not like Memes” or another one “Please do not tag me”. Unfortunately, I have to do this seemingly endless meme based of the number four. Why it was chosen I don’t know (maybe because it was the number between 3 and 5?). hmm.
Four Reasons why I do not like Memes (not part of the original meme)
• It annoys you when you feel you “have to” blog about something when not really inclined to
• It forces you to divulge all sorts of information about yourself leaving you with two options (a) divulge when you didn’t want to (b) lie. I don’t like either option
• Most memes are usually stupid and make you do stupid things like “Go count the number of songs on your iPod” or something equally ridiculous that I have no time for.
• Every meme ends with “Tag – other people” and since I hate being tagged, I hate tagging others (because surely there are others who think like I do).
Anyway, all that (somewhat) out of my system, let me give this meme a go:

Four jobs you’ve had in your life
• Assistant Editor (will not mention the name of the magazine as I fear the mighty Google)
• Gofer (Seriously. That’s where I learned to multitask)
• Clothes-Ironer. Ok, not a job job, but I did charge people money in my house to iron their clothes hence it should count. So there.
• The job of writing about four jobs I’ve had in such a manner that I don’t lie and yet don’t really reveal any information on any jobs I’ve really had. Hmm.
Four jobs you wish you had
Lovely, SOOO much easier! I pretty much want to do everything anyway.
• Writer. Not that I don’t already write. Just that someone would actually have to pay me to write. And hopefully someone else would pay to read.
• Male-Model Co-ordinator, so I could meet lots of cute guys. aahhh.
• Gourmet Chef, so I could go (moving hands in chopping motion) and cut long things up really quickly. Also wish I could whip up a dish out of seemingly waste materials. Or that I could have a bite of something and be able to define every single thing in it.
• Astronaut. Hairstylist. Artist. Astronomer. Singer. Dancer. Actor. Dramatist.

Four Movies you can watch over and over again
(and trust me, I have!)
• While you were Sleeping
• French Kiss
• Ghost
• Sleepless in Seattle
Four Cities you have lived in
• Mumbai, India
• Mumbai, India
• Did I mention I hated memes?
• Mumbai, India

Four TV Shows you love to watch
• Any shows with cute guys. Currently favoring The OC (love Adam Brody’s geeky-cute looks). And it’s also my current ringtone. Just fyi.
• Any murder mystery thingie. Currently Mid-Summer Murders & Wire in the Blood
• Any sitcom, though probably Friends will always be my all time favorite.
• All travel & living shows, especially the ones where they redecorate someone’s house and someone gets all surprised and goes “Eeeeeaagagghhhhhhhh!! Sorry, I meant wow.”
Four places you’ve been on vacation/travelled to
• Sri Lanka
• HongKong
• Singapore
• Malaysia, see I’m Truly Asia.
Four Websites you visit daily
• TheVoiceInMyHead
• My several mail accounts
• Blog of person I’ve just started counter-stalking ![]()
• Google. Because there’s always a reason to google. (Doesn’t that sound like a cool tag line?)
Four of your favorite Foods
• Italian. Love all sorts of Pastas, especially with white creamy sauces. And mushrooms. And oregano. And parsley. And, geez, must stop.
• Goan food. SO TOTALLY love vindaloo, sorpotel, goan sausages (in any form), xacuti, cafraels… Aaahhh
• Ghar ka khana. Mainly because my ghar has excellent khana. Thanks mum ![]()
• 99.9% of all Junk foods. Know I shouldn’t but I can’t help myself. Burgers, Fries, Subs and Pizzas are a regular part of my *ahem* diet.

Four Things you won’t eat
• Karelas. Because.
• Kappa, which is the Malayalam word for Tapioca. Stayed in Mallu-land for two years and seriously, I will NOT EAT any kappa. (Pls. note: am not dissing Mallus or Mallu food here! Wouldn’t have lasted two years if I had a problem with either).
• Live, moving things (wouldn’t last a minute in Fear Factor).
• Rarely-done steaks. Because for one, can’t do the endless chewing. And secondly, cannot bear to see blood in my food (or anywhere else).
Four things you wish you could eat right now
• In the mood for a salad right now
• with possibly some tofu/cottage cheese/paneer (non-masalaed)
• a fresh juice to drink with it
• and a lovely chocolate dessert to finish it off.
Four things in your bedroom
• My really amazing bed.
• My personal library
• Lots of photographs of my close friends whom I love
• Tons and tons and tons and tons of shoes. And some more shoes.
Four things you wish you had in your bedroom
Things? Darn, the list would have so much easier without the “things” bit.
• A walk-in closet. Definitely. Ooooohhhhhhhhh. This would really be better than anyone in the bedroom!!
• A really nice statue of the Risen Christ. Have been scouting around for a long time now but haven’t found any statue I like so far.
• A really cool phone which was completely free so I could talk to whomever I wanted, whenever I wanted, for however long I wanted.
• Lots and lots and lots and lots more shoes. And some more shoes.

Four things I’m wearing right now
• Short strappy summery dress with flowers on it.
• Ghar ka chappals
• Damn, hate these memes
• My cell phone? Well, it’s always almost on me.
Four people you’d really love to have dinner with
Or do anything with, for that matter!
• Jon Bon Jovi
• Rahul Gandhi
• Hussain. And he could do a portrait of me while I was eating. I’m ok with being a muse.
• Anyone on my top 20 actors list.
One Place I’d rather be right now
On a white sand beach. In my ‘new’ bikini (that I bought on my last trip abroad and still haven’t used once since). With a tall glass of a cold cold drink. With a fabulous book. And with absolutely no one around.
One Fictional Place I’d rather be right now
Definitely Pemberly. And happily married to Mr. Darcy, of course.
Four Things I am thinking right now
• Seriously, I should murder Ajay for tagging me with this un-ending meme.
• How can I think if the phone doesn’t stop ringing?
• How come the above two questions didn’t have a 4 in ‘em?
• What more can I think about?
Four of your favourite things/people
• My Family, Friends, Doggies.
• My Blog. And my whole bloggy family & friends. Love you guys.
• My cellphone. Don’t go anywhere without it.
• My … self?
Four People I tag
Ok, placing an optional tag. If you’d like to do this, comment here that you’re one of the 4 who’s continuing the tag.

@ Sherriff: Well actually meant it would be a perfect beach if it was secluded… but now that you mention - also wouldn’t want to parade in front of too many oogling men..
Rahul Gandhi. AHHHH. There was a short time I fantasized about marrying this guy. I’d change my first name to Laila (so I’d be “Laila Gandhi”) because I’d surely need an Indian name to be a Gandhi’s wife. And of course, I’d wear Sonia-fied sarees daily. Learn to speak Hindi. And put out my palm with great dignity whenever hubby & I went campaigning. Sigh, those were the days. (oops, day-dreams).
@ inexile: Actually I freelance write (it’s not my daytime job). And WOOO HOOO to the Goan food too!!
@ Jo: Absolutely. Heading there right now.
