If you’re in the mood for an intelligent, smart movie, then do not see this one.

If on the other hand you’re upto being totally entertained, laughing out loud (my friend & I totally were the whole movie) & wanting to enjoy being in another crazy world for a couple of hours, then this movie is just what the doctor ordered!

Uma Thurman is TOTALLY brilliant - she manages to look sexy (as always) and be funny and scary at the same time. Luke Wilson is not as cute as (my darling) Owen - in fact he’s a bit pudgy in this film - but he’s a decent leading man nevertheless. It was refreshing to see Anna Faris not acting in an insane role for once. And supporting actor Rainn Wilson (TV’s ‘The Office’) was simply fabulous as the advice-a-minute giving friend..

Take a date (very date-ish film)
or take a mate (told ya, very matey film too, lots of advice for men trying to pick up women here ;) )
but don’t be late (because it’s leaving the theatres soon)

Ok sorry for the rhyme. But I just said I enjoyed this movie - what frame of mind do you expect me to be in?!

  3. @ Ashish: Tell me about it! Was standing in the line for the tickets (friend was parking the car) and everyone around me was grumbling about Munnabhai being sold out. lol. Don’t watch Hindi movies, but have heard it’s pretty good.

@ Sherriff: Yeah I do like a lot of the films I see. But maybe it’s because I’m particularly choosy about which films I go see in the first place.

Even then I’ve been dissapointed a couple of times - Pride & Prejudice which totally didn’t live upto my expectations. Kingdom of Heaven - which was waaaaay too violent. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - geez, I HATED that film. It was just so weird. Was a good night though. We were all ‘drunk’ on the waay back totally laughin our heads off… ahhhh…

  4. Incidentally am waiting to see ‘The Devil wears Prada’. Since I read the book I thought I might as well see what they’ve done with the movie - and the promos I’ve seen so far seem pretty good. It’s coming to Bbay this Friday but will go for a special preview on Wednesday.
  5. Want to watch it. Will rush now!

  6. Hmmm… Back after ages. Someone told me the movie was real bad. Will see for myself.

  7. @ Anumita & Vijay: Well let me know what you think!
