As I write this, it’s thundering (oh ever SO loudly!) and lightening outside. The first, the very first rains of the season. Tommorow all the earth will smell fresh. All the trees with look green & clean. All the dust will be washed out. New life. Yes, I LOVE THE RAINS :) Apart from the fact that it reminds me my birthday’s coming up (one of the key reasons I love the monsoons!) is the fact that the rains are just soooo very romantic.

Wouldn’t it be lovely to take a walk in the rain with someone you love - not worrying about getting sick the next day… just enjoy the fact that you are together? Or maybe if you’re not so hot on achoo-ing the rest of the week, how about a walk under a common umbrella (awwwwwwwww)…

Sorry, can’t help it. Am an utterly butterly romantic. And the rains always bring out the worst in me :)

On a different note - praying for rain of a Spiritual kind to come down upon us on the 2nd, 3rd & 4th of the coming month at St. Andrew’s Grounds. It’s a program called “Celebrate Freedom”. If there are any Catholics who read this blog & are in Bombay during those days, do try & make it. If you’re not Catholic & still want to come, you’re welcome too. Entry free. Timings 6.30pm - 10pm on those 3 days (coming Fri-Sat-Sun).

Will end by thanking God for this amazing gift I got yesterday among other gifts (thank you to the earthly bearer)- a beautiful Italian rosary - actually made with Rose petals & if you smell it, you actually get the essence of roses! Not only that, but there’s a chalice on it with the host! Really beautiful indeed.

  9. happy monsoons! all d very best for the monsoons! enjoy…. :)

  10. I’m stuck in office coz of the rains :((

The rains have caused quite a bit of a problem here in Mlore…

Anyway… I love the rains too… Especially since they cool down the tooooooooooooo hot weather in Mangalore. Phew!

And yes, echoin the thoughts above, when’s the budday?

  11. Woman - where are you?

  12. Aah rains! So long as I am at home with a nice cuppa of tea and I can feel the spray on my face..I love the rain.

    :)

So when is the big day?

  13. @ Y’all: Sorry Ppl! The net’s been down - yes, again! It’s a been a hectic last few days & I finally got my net back so thought I’d drop y’all a line. Will try & post tommorow.

And for all who asked: The b’day is still far off, but in the rainy season nevertheless.

@ Van: Well I guess it’s a matter of opinion and also the way you look at things. Am sure if you’re looking at the filth & the state of public transport it can’t be all that romantic - but if you’re with a loved one taking a quite walk it can be quite so :)

@ Derek: Am not quite sure if the Bishop came or not finally - a lot of things changed as per original plan. The venue was shifted to St. Joseph’s Convent (due to the rains). Also I didn’t make it on Day 1 as I was pretty out of it (my shoulder muscle had pulled). I heard it went really well & I enjoyed the next two days.

@ Sherriff: Yes know what you mean. Can be a pain, but hey I love the rains too :)

No I don’t stay at that building. Don’t own an buildings anyway :) lol to what you said about the first pic, sometimes our imagination is enough!!

@ gps: Heya! Welcome to Bbay (or have you gone back already?). Glad to know you’re enjoying our wet weather!

@ Pradip: That is really so sweet “…. what makes your blog special” Thanks :)

Will def. come check out your place :) Know Jo raves about your music!

@ Harry: Thx mate & the same to you!

@ dev: Too bad about being stuck in office - though knowing you as well as I do (lol) you probably were sitting checking out everyone’s blogs & doing “solid time-pass” ;)

@ Noojes: Hey babe - as I said, inty’s been down. Great to hear from you yesterday, how was Pre - as good as it looks? Will call ya :)

@ Alex: Aaahhh… sounds like my kinda ambience. Now shift the venue to Goa, coconut trees swaying, birds chirping softly in the background, add a good book & we’ve got paradise. Incidentally you wished me late last year - see they’re right; elephants really don’t forget ;)

  14. Do you suffer from a Multiple Personality Disorder or something?

I mean one day you portay yourself as a Bakri and now you call yourself an elephant!

U need help dear! *nods sagely*

  15. @ Alexis: You’ve found me out… I suffer from a possibly fatal disease called “accute animal schizophrenia”.
  16. There! Now you go ahead and forget my name! Sheesh you are beyond salvage!!

  17. “acute” animal schizophrenia? Aww, cute. :D

  18. where’d u gone?
    yeah me back now…

  19. @ Olex: My name is not Sheesh. Sorry, what were you saying… who are you?

@ dev: Am a bit slow (among already aforementioned mental problems) - got the AWWW Cute thingie a little late… but very cute :D

@ gps: Me was here. Internet was gone. Seems like it travels more than I do. Hope your trip was fun (wet or not)

  20. Well acutally I can’t stand dull, grey days (:| btw I think the monsoon season is over in Bbay. YAY! :P
