Before I start, a little apology to y’all, my net’s been down for the last three days. Will reply to all comments after this.

I did not plan to make this post (why give this movie any more publicity?!), but after reading some of the comments in the last post, thought I should make my position clear.
I have not read the book & I will not see the movie. I have read tons ABOUT the book and the lies it proclaims and as such have no inclination to read it myself. Likewise for the movie.
It’s not that my faith is going to be shaken if I see the movie - it’s more like this:
EXAMPLE
If you wrote a book about what a sick liar SOB my father is, then you’re sure as heck not gonna get me to read that book! Especially not when tons of others have read it & already written excellent “de-coders” (i.e. exposing the lies in the book)
So now, add to all this, now they’re making a movie of the book which calls my dad a sick lying SOB ! If I see that movie, it’s not going to change my opinion about my dad. Rather it would just hurt my sentiments terribly. HOW DARE THESE PEOPLE lie and make a sham about something & someone I care so deeply about?

My present position is to just ignore all of this though. I believe in what I believe to be the truth. And the truth does not change no matter what anyone may say about it - nor no matter how many people may stop believing it to be the truth.
About the movie, I think it’s a terrible thing that it’s out there. I’m not going to see it for the reasons I mentioned above.
So much - too much - has already been said about this movie (and from what I gather secular people who saw it didn’t even like it too much). No comments here. If you really want, you can post a comment at the Glorify God community here or here
