It’s been another crazy week (realised after checking that last week update was on a Wednesday too).

Since my sis was leaving, we went to Nan’s place for her blessings. Nan (who has Alzeimher’s) was in a great mood - and better still - she actually remembered exactly who we were and where we were and prayed for us both long & sweetly… “God bless these graaaaaand daughters of mine”… I really love my nana!

The sista finally left on Friday the 13th (yeah, she had no qualms about flying off on said date). As much as I grumbled when she was down, started missing her from the second she was off. Distance does indeed make the heart grow fonder, eh?

Immediately after she left, went to see “Wedding Crashers“. It’s weird how things turn out - was dying to see the movie for a long time and then when it finally came to Bombay, both the people I asked to take me see it said no since they had already seen it. Finally, when I’m really not sure I want to go out anywhere, Aju very sweetly agrees to see it the second time to stop me from moping around my house (don’t ask why). Went all the way to Fame Adlabs on the bike, wind in my hair et al :) Had a great time. Review to follow.

On Saturday 14th Jan, my friend Anne from California came down to stay. The house has been full since August with one house guest after another. Still it’s good to have Anne around - she even prays the rosary with me every night before we sleep. Very peaceful indeed :)

Sunday 15th was anything but peaceful however. Had four more relatives (this time from UK) come over - mercifully only for the day & not to stay. Was totally exhausted by the end of the day and ran off with Del in the late evening to Cafe Coffee Day. We also managed to catch some nice street exhibitions that were going on to promote awareness on various topics like Abortion, Drug Addition etc.

Spent Monday in Colaba & Tuesday in Parel buried in work. Tuesday got a chance to travel via public train again - which was alright.

On the way to Parel saw a girl eat a sweet and throw the wrapper on the ground. Was not sure whether to say anything about it, then decided “if I’m not part of the solution, I’m part of the problem”. She did pick up the wrapper. She also probably thinks I’m a super Bi but maybe I’m “cleaning up Bombay, one wrapper at a time” (sorry, am a bit sloganny right now, murugan you around?).

On the way back was caught in rush hour traffic (here’s another one - “BO only @ Rs 8/-“), broke a nail (woe is me!) and made a new friend - good samaritan Swati who helped me off the train. She also was quite surprised to find out I’m from Bombay “Where did you get your accent from then?” she asks innocently. Darn and Double Darn. Why the heck do I have an accent?? Must learn Marathi or something immediately to wash it off.

The prayer meeting yesterday was fabulous. Francis came again & spoke on “Jesus The Teacher” this time. I went to the meeting in a really bad state of mind - which was not good since I was ministering - but I really couldn’t help it. It’s wonderful though that I was able to leave all my problems behind and really enjoy the Presence of the Lord at the meeting. Praise God indeed :)

Today Wednesday 18th has been a slower day. Spoke to my cousin in Singapore for a long time in the morning & am quite excited that I might be going there sometime soon. Will keep y’all posted as usual.
