My name is Pravin. I enjoy reading your zany blog. Actually it has inspired me to start my own blo and I will have one very soon.
I lived in Mumbai till ‘94 and then left for US for higher studies. I made one short trip (21 days) in 98 but haven’t been there since. I am planning to visit early next year and have realized that I dont have any idea how much it costs to live in Mumbai.
If it is not toomuch trouble, can you make a wild guess at what I should budget for monthly spending…say if I’m going to restaurants almost every day and renting an apartment somewhere in the suburbs.
If you dont know, that is alright too.

@ Pravin - Firstly, Melody is my real name. Glad to have been the inspiration for you starting your blog, let us have the url once it’s up!
Not sure on how much you should budget for your trip mainly because Bombay is the land of inequalities - there’s wada pau on the road & there’s Foie gras at the Taj. One thing for sure, it’s not going to be easy to find a place to rent. You should probably ask a friend in Bbay to do that for you in advance.
