So the sister finally arrived :) She’s here a whole month & even got herself a personal lil category on this blog!

She arrived with her soon to be fiancee Nick & his sister Jess on Friday night (boy were the doggies happy!!!)

Without even having any time to settle in had an impromptu party at Angie’s which included a great sing song session, amazing Thai food (ordered in from Thai Ban) and great desserts (not sure where they were from).

Started Saturday at Salon Simone. My sister had her hair straightened and cut while I had my hair highlighted blonde and red. Yup!!

Simone (not my sister, but the Salon owner) really did an AMAZING job and it was all anyone could do to tear me away from a mirror the entire day after that. It’s also really amazing how coloring one’s hair can make one feel so different!!

Thank you ever so much.

Was done by the evening, after which went to Linking road to buy shoes. Decided not to be partial and ended up buying shoes from almost ALL the shops on linking road. We were five of us who went and all of us came home with tons of shoes…

We hardly got home & had to rush off again, this time to Sheesha’s, which is a fabulous little restaurant on the top of Shopper’s Stop. Though I’ve been to the mall tons of times & also the Seven (the night club on the floor below), I’ve surprising never been to Sheesha’s. And I think I’ve found one of my new favorite restaurants.

The ambience is fantastic. The food is great. And the prices are reasonable (starters around INR 200, main INR 350). Had a really good time. Were too scared to try the Lhasoon Kheer (????) for dessert though! Next time maybe! lol

After Sheesha’s dropped into Zenzi.

Will digress a bit and tell you a Sheetal Malhar story. It started back in Goa when my mum and dad ran into her at a party. The poor thing had just ridden in with a friend on a bike and hence was suitably dirty & her hair messed etc. My dad took one look at her and said to my mum “Melody looks so much better than Sheetal Malhar”.

My mum, while suitably amused tried to explain to him that that was just not possible. Still my dad (oh, you got to love these guys!) insisted and still maintains the fact anytime we talk about Sheetal Malhar.

I am most flattered of course by my dad’s obvious partiality though I have never for once thought I look anything near anything as nice as she does.

Except that TODAY, after I got my hair done, I was so full of myself, I actually said to Simone (from the parlour), “Oh my dad’s Sheetal story may actually be true now”.

Immodesty comes before a fall?

Ran into Sheetal at Zenzi and reality quickly (& painfully) hit me and I realised that we shouldn’t even be in same room together.

C’est la vie? At least I’ll always have dad :)

After Zenzi, drove into the city to Wafflles to join the rest of the gang for desserts and more nonsense.

Came home early in the morning and talked to Simone for a long time before dying of exhaustion. Don’t think I’ll manage this pace an entire month.
