This is my life…

First my ISP guy says it’s a *&^$*& hardware problem: Change your lan card, says he.

So me does. (yeah, yeah, I’m well trained, send in your CVs prospective hubbys)

Then the hardware dude changes the lan card.

Still not happening.

What now???

You may have a virus, says the second he (I’m surrounded by brilliant dudes)

So dude takes my CPU & reformats, changes anti-virus thingies etc etc etc.

Brings it back.

Yeah, you guessed it.

Apparently, says he, it must be the < <<<<< CABLE >>>>>>>

WELLL OKKKKKK THENNN

So now I’ve got to call the ISP guys in again.

The saga continues…

(Don’t beat me up for not makin too many entries in the meanwhile)

    1. Click on Start->Run. Then type ‘cmd’. (without quotes).

This opens up a command prompt.
    Type :
    ping -t http://www.yahoo.com

    Tell me what you see!

Next, open the command prompt again..
    type:

  12. Arjun, did the ping & the tracert thingies, got Request Timed Out for both.

Alex, me following Arjun’s instructions despite the fact I have no clue what he’s talking about is just another example of how well trained I am…
