What can I say - it’s been a rough time for English movie goers in this city of ours. Would you believe there was actually a long time when NO English movies were running at all??? Seems impossible but true. Anyway, there’s a whole barrage of new films out now (yipee!)…

Today however caught Chasing Liberty on Hallmark and what can I say?! The movie’s a total chick flick - and this chick totally loved it!

The whole movie was filled with things I love: It was a romantic comedy - completely correct genre for me; it had very very very cute guy (oh, how totally adorable is Matthew Goode!!!!) and it also had lots of scenes shot in different & very romantic locations - oh to sit in a gondola with a loved one… ahhh!!

In other movie related news, seems like the world finally has a new 007 - and his name is Daniel Craig. And I think he’s stark ugly. But hey, that’s just me.

(This was by far the cutest pic I could find of him - the other ones were so bad, I didn’t wanna post!)

  1. “and this chick totally loved it!”

    Which chick??

    Check…Check….Reality Check…Check…

    Just joking of course!

I dont this genre is for me. I had watched “How to lose a guy in 10 days” (would that qualify as a chick flick) and I so totally hated the movie.

  2. Yup, I think the how to lose a guy movie would be a chick flick - not seen it though so am not sure.

I totally love romantic comedies - my all time favorite top three movies are:
    (01) While you were sleeping
    (02) French Kiss
    (03) Ghost (though not a comedy)
seen all of these a million times!!

Also: Pride & Prejudice (the TV Version & it’s also my favorite fiction book), The Mirror Has Two Faces, Six Days Seven Nights, As Good as it Gets, Sleepless in Seattle, America’s Sweethearts, Sabrina, Serendipity, Jerry Maguire, Sweet Home Alabama, Picture Perfect, Laws of Attraction, Reality Bites, Notting Hill…

& Oldies like Come September, Summer Holiday…

And here’s an interesting fact about me - have not seen Pretty Woman yet :)
