It’s been a crazy three days…
When the cats (read as ‘parents who do not allow pet daughter on motorbike’) are away, the mice (read ‘pet daughter who loves speed & big bikes’) are at play… And boy are they EVER!!!

Thursday night was crazeee… took off with the wind in my hair (yes, it totalled my gorgeous hair) and there was no stopping us. We originally decided to go to Powai Lake, then decided to do it through Aarey Milk Colony - which is a proverbial ghost movie scene in the middle of the night.
There were a couple of unexplained things that happened - like the stones that were thrown - with no one around - on two occasions… (twilight zone indeed) After hours of crazy riding got really hungry & ended up having a really late dinner at the Domestic Airport, pretty good, may try the International next time…
Had so much fun, decided to do it again on Friday night, only this time went to Madh Island. Visited several places in North Mumbai first - I was shocked to see Malad “Call City Central”.. the buildings are mind blowing! Intellinet for example has a fabulous building - as do most of them - and the place is really well developed. Ate some soup in “Uncle’s Kitchen” (seriously, don’t ask) and then proceeded to Madh - ghost stories again - and I could almost swear I saw a man in the shadows….
Was but “too early” to go home, so from Madh, it was off to Nariman Point… (!!!) except that around Mahim, it started to rain really heavily, so we had to pull over and sit in a bus stop - have never done that at 3 in the morning before!!! Got home late, tired, my legs were killing me - it was fun but I don’t think I can do this regularly, get me my climate controlled car…

Went to see “Herbie, fully loaded” on Saturday afternoon. Used to love the Herbie movies when I was a kid, but I guess I’ve grown up now… Didn’t laugh at all during the movie (had a couple of smiles here & there though) but the children (& I mean really small children) who were at the theatre with us were all “wow” the whole time. Guess if you’re in the 5 -12 age group, this movie could do something for you.
All it did for me is think of two more things I want to do before I die - drive in any pro race (I know there used to be something in Mumbai - someone wanted to borrow my jeep for it once, will find out) and go see one F1 race live. Only 5 races left in this season, so probably will not happen this year - but it’s something I’ll do.
F1 Season 2005 thus far:
Drivers’ Standings
Pos Driver Points
1 F Alonso (Spa) 95
2 K Raikkonen (Fin) 71
3 M Schumacher (Ger) 55
(Karthikeyan is tied at 17th position with 5 pts)
Constructor Standings
Pos Team Points
1 Renault 130
2 McLaren 121
3 Ferrari 86
(Next race, Round 15, Monza, Italy on 4th September)
And before you ask, I’m Ferrari all the way (despite their slump this season) - have been so since Mansell’s days (have a friend who met him & got him to autograph his cap!)
