Was totally exhausted from my adventures on Thursday night & was totally unprepared to be woken up at the crack of dawn (ok fine, 8.30) by my mum who, to put it mildly, wasn’t in a very “good” mood. Decided it was better to get up & shower than try to convince her to leave me in bed…

Had a long but good day at office. Finished off all the work I had to do by 2pm. Skipped post lunch meeting (yes, did get yelled at afterwards) and tried to get some shut eye - didn’t work (note to self: find out who invented cell phones & suitably torture him/her).

Late evening went out with Gail (on a secret mission ;) ) Did get it done, but think we were ripped off. Don’t like to be ripped off & am still sulking (a bit) about it… Anyway, at least it’s done.

Night went over to Del’s place. She & bf Eli were due to arrive in Bbay by the 1am flight from UK. Originally had thought I’d go out for dinner first but didn’t - and it turned out to be a good thing because I got to catch up with the guys after a really really long time (don’t think I’ve met half of them since Del left 2 yrs ago).

(The happy couple, tired but looking good)

Anyway, Del & Eli’s flight landed on time (wtg Lufthansa!) and they were out in abt 40 mins after. Was totally great to meet them after soooooooooooo long (am so super thrilled Del’s not going back!).

They were pretty grumbly though * the weather’s too hot * & humid * & the cars apparently honk too much * & there was an unbelievable crowd at Heathrow (though they were happy they didn’t fly BA, thank God for small mercies.) * * * (yelp!)

Went to Eli’s first. Lou’s down from HK too, so it was a big reunion. Spent about 1/2 hr there before we decided to push off.

Didn’t waste too much time afterwards (was back home by 3) because I figure I have all the time in the world to spend with Del now.

AM SO HAPPY :D
