Had SUCH an amazing day ![]()
Got up early morning (5.30am!!) and went for Holy Mass… after that got home & finished off some important stuff like the day’s washing
etc and also got time to check my mail!
Left Mumbai at around 8am & was in Pune in slightly over two hours… lovely drive… the expressway is just So beautiful! (click for bigger pic)
Had breakfast in the Turf Club and then while my friend headed out to do some work, I got a car & driver to take me around Pune ![]()
Thought I’d have my personal prayer time, so decided to head down to a church. The driver (a really nice man) took me to St. Patrick’s - where the ArchBishop of Pune stays. Since I had seen it before, along with St. Vincent’s (on two other trips to Pune), I asked him to take me to any other church of his choice.
So off we went to Don Bosco’s. Imagine my surprise when as we were entering, Fr. Allwyn (who used to preach at Tabor) was leaving… Tried to call out to him, but he was on a bike and had already sped off. Praise God anyway & went to the chapel.
It was a really beautiful chapel with a lovely statue of the Risen Jesus & I spent some lovely time there (esp. since I was all alone & it was sooo very quite!).
Just before I was going to finish, Fr. Allwyn came back - I heard his booming voice
even from chapel (lol)… so got to meet him anyway. Spent some time with him - he was all gushing about all his recent ministry events & praise God, he’s really doing good ministry for the Lord.
From the church to the streets of Pune, where I browsed through the delightful Ashram Slippers available everywhere in myriads of colors & designs. Earlier there was just one type available, now it’s a feast for the eye! Picked up three really neat pairs, a black, a pink & an orange ![]()
After that decided to go get a drink - it was really really hot (& to add to it, the electricity in the church apparently is off every afternoon from 12 - 3pm - help!). Headed down to German Bakery, a phirang hangout, where I had some very refreshing (& very needed) juice.
From there it was just ‘Darshan’ from the car for me (didn’t want to get out of the AC!) for a while.
Joined my friend again for a lovely buffet lunch at Le Meridian (think it was three hours later that we finally admitted we were too stuffed to eat anything!!). Browsed through the shopping center for a bit & then decided to head home.

Took a LOT longer to reach home (then it took to reach Pune) due to the endless traffic once we entered Mumbai (uptil then it was great, even had a shower of rain on the way!)… no problems though, because we had so so so much fun, we were laughing & joking the WHOLE way….
Fi-Fai-Fo-Fum ![]()
Was supposed to go out in the night but I turned my cell off & drifted into sweet slumber (heard about all my friend’s night escapades the next day, but really didn’t miss it - my bed was waaaay too inviting)

Three questions:
1. Who is ‘we’?
2. Who is ‘Darshan’?
2. Why isn’t your entry on Delhi updated?

Ans 2: Darshan is not a WHO but a WHAT
(Friendly Tip here, the number 2 is followed by the number 3)
Ans to the double 2: None of your business dudette.

If “Darshan” is a WHAT then why is it capitalized in the middle of the sentence?
You are right, none of my business
Bye

If your reasoning is correct, why don’t you ask me who Ashram Slippers is?
