Went to Tabor for the First Saturday Service. Went with Sean, Miguel, Techu & Jenny. The five of us had a very good time, we started with a lovely annointed rosary on the train. Poor Sean had worked a night shift and hadn’t slept at all (we left by 7am) but he still managed to be completely fresh (that’s the power of pray for you!).
Due to a very hectic work schedule, I hadn’t been to Tabor since the 11th of September 2004, which was the day after Simone left for Oz. I remember because we got her call saying that she landed safely while we were in the priest’s dining room with Fr. Mathew.
While on Fr. Mathew - he’s just back from a month of preaching in Muscat. It was all very annointed and he had many experiences to share with us all. He led the Eucharistic Adoration and also gave a class on ‘Sacrifice during Lent’.
Personally, going to Tabor is like a homecoming… it’s always good to meet all those who were once resident team members with me (now I’m a non-resident member). I got to meet up with Louisa & Elizabeth (the later who ministers for only half day now) as well as Frs. Mathew, Johnson, Jose (my ex-confessor) & Joby.
As for the nuns, Sr. Gisella is still very active. U. Jose (head of the Kitchen Ministry) gave me a big bottle of his famous fish pickle for mum (we all love it!) and all in all it was great. Did miss seeing the many faces I saw on a daily basis but who now like me are not at Tabor full time anymore.
One good thing is that the new (English) music ministers seem really nice. It?s led by one Joseph who used to be in the intercession ministry & who is shortly joining the priesthood. There are also two girls & one keyboardist with him. It?s a lot smaller than our 5 singers, 2 keyboardists & 2 drummer team, but equally anointed. And at the end of the day, that?s all that matters.
We came back from the service tired but very happy. Miguel left us at Kurla & Sean insisted on getting off at Dadar & taking a cab ? which turned out to be more complicated than one would imagine ? it was like a mela outside Dadar station! Was an adventure in itself!
All in all, a very good day.
