I’m not married yet [the 'yet' was for the benefit of all my old aunties etc, who seem to think "it's high time beta"], so took this quiz called What kind of guy are you most attracted to?

RESULT:- You like the ones that understand you.
It all seemed accurate enough but - seriously - don’t we ALL want men to understand us - AND WILL THEY EVER???!!
So took another quiz (yeah, ok, was quite bekaar just then):
Which gorgeous goddess are you?
RESULT:- The Goddess of Roses and Love. You are a hopeless romantic. Always optimistic and loving, you have many friends and you are exceptionally trustworthy. You are a innocent beauty.
Conclusion: If they are any men out there (ok, I’d settle for ONE) who’d understand this Goddess of Roses & Love, pls. contact me. Alternatively contact any of my old aunties.

After a long week of work (really months of work), decided to head down to beautiful Khandala for a bit. It’s unbelievable close to Bbay with the new expressway, the whole journey is only about 1.5 hrs by car. Spent a half day there & also drove down to Lonavala before heading home.

Night after music ministry prac, went to a small BBQ at Khush’s . It was a bit weird since I’m not eating any meat for Lent. There were just nine of us, but food enough to feed 40 hungry soldiers
And excellent food.. I particularly loved the Patato Salad (filled with walnuts & crispy apples).

Friday night - Bonnie came over & we both went to Zenaida’s place for her 21st Bday party …. awwww, cho chweet
Also had Dillon’s party to attend - but didn’t go as I’m off parties for Lent (Zen’s is a prayer group thing). Led the thanksgiving for Zen & had an overall nice time with the gang as usual, though had to come home early as I had a sudden change in plans & had to be in Bbay Hosp (conference) by 8am on Sat.
Saturday, got up nice & early & went to Bbay Hosp; thankfully dropped by dad. Stayed for a couple of hours & then took a nice long walk before getting home to Bandra. Bonnie wanted to shop, so we perused a couple of shops on Hill Rd - I got 2 nice tops for myself
After that we just chilled.
Ajay came over & we worked on the new WebberZone template. Couldn’t work long as I had to go to chapel - am trying as hard as I can to be faithful & go to chapel for an hour daily, praise Jesus. Also met up with a friend later & had a nice dinner & convo.
On Sunday: Went for Holy Mass with the family as usual. Instead of going over to Nana’s, dad brought Nana over to our place - which was great as Ajay & I were still working on the template.
Evening dropped into church for Saby’s triple grace fest
[he received baptism & holy communion & confirmation!] & then dropped into chapel to spend some time with my Lord.
Ended the day by celebrating Saby’s joy at Janice & Jorden’s place. Had an open air praise & worship (in the compound) and then chilled a long time as the take-out took forever to reach!

One of my four closest friend’s from school is a Muslim girl. We 5 have been closest buddies over the years and still maintain our close bonds though we’re spread over 3 continents now. I mention this, because in no way do I mean to say anything bad about the Muslims through this next piece. It’s just some info. I recd. via a fwd & thought it interesting enough to post here, just to give us all some food for thought:
Pastor Bill Hekman of the Calvary Life Fellowship church in Indonesia:
?We know that 80% of the town of Meulaboh in Aceh was destroyed by the Tsunami waves and 80% of the people also died. This is one of the towns that were hit the hardest. But there is a fantastic testimony from Meulaboh. In that town are about 400 Christians. They wanted to celebrate Christmas on December 25th but were not allowed to do so by the Muslims of Meulaboh. They were told if they wanted to celebrate Christmas they needed to go outside the city of Meulaboh on a high hill and there celebrate Christmas.

Very very tiring day. Worked very very hard. Here are some highlights:
I Started the day in chapel with my precious Valentine. Who could ask for anything more? I love Jesus!
In honor of this day, I received:
* A Salwar Kameez piece from dear Ajay (who also bought one for his gf)
* A big tin of chocolates from my darling Gail (like Aj, she too gifted it in advance, both on Sat)
* A really cute Mickey Mouse stuffed toy (see pic below) from my mum from Disney, Paris. My mum incidentally always gifts me something on V day

Nellie called and spoke to me after a really long time. That was a really happy surprise for me! Will def. meet up with him & his wife sometime soon.
I also received (& sent) tons of msgs etc. No roses or cards etc, and I did get that tinge of “I have no one special to celebrate this day with” feeling… but God is really good & all in all it turned out to be a great great day

I have given up going out for Lent, but went out this one last time as I had accepted this invitation a while back (before I knew it was in Lent) & as it was what I call a good “Adult Home” party.
It was at U. W’s & A. M’s Peddar Rd home & the view from their high floor (20+) is unbelievably fabulous. Every time I go there, it’s all I can do to tear myself away from the windows everywhere!
A. M never caters and had made authentic Mangalorean food - great coconut based curries, sanas etc. I especially enjoyed the Strawberry shortcake.
Had a great time singing (I also played the keyboard, U. Brian the gat). Dezina & Sasha sang some solos along with an A. Iris - who made us change 7 keys before she pitched right, lol and everyone seemed to have a great time.

My parents decided to skip town for a while (5th - 11th) & spend some time in Sunny Goa. They had a great time - the Carnival was on & there were tons of stuff to do every day & every night in tons of places.
It is also a well known fact that when the cats are away…. well you know, lol. On the very first night, a group of about 10 of us were all sitting around playing Dumb Charades, Truth or Dare etc… when one of the guys knocked over the center table in my hall, shattering it completely & in the process tons of glass was scattered all over the place… the place was pretty trashed..
Another night saw another lot sleep over.. to quote one of them“Thank goodness the table was broken, now I’m gonna spread out right here on your carpet…”
I did tell my parents all the gory details of the week (don’t believe in lying to my parents) & my friends did replace the table… but still it was a long & tiring (& yes, fun) week..!
Oh gosh! I have never waited for my parents to come home so much.. lol.

I’ll admit it - the only reason I went to see this movie was because NOTHING else was running. Everything else was either Hindi (which I don’t watch) or not on.
I didn’t expect the movie to be good - but it wasn’t too bad. I suppose if I was feeling a bit more mushy I could have enjoyed it more… it is at heart a love story while I was in the mood for entertainment - the Terminator would have satisfied me better, lol
I won’t give the movie a bad review.. if you like poignant romantic movies based on true stories, this may just be your cup of tea.
Incidentally, the film got AMAZING reviews at the box office and is even being touted as Oscar material - I’d advise you to judge for yourself.

Ana & Eric both looked great, the function was lovely. It was kinda hard to be sure whether Ana or her mother were happier
Had a lovely time - don’t know when I’ll see all these guys again; Resham flew off to the States from the wedding itself, Reshma’s off to South Africa in a few days. Though the rest are around, it’ll still prob. be a while..
One thing which DEFINETELY deserves a mention was the AMAZING food!!! The food was served on a banana leaf in traditional Parsi style. Chicken, Mutton, Prawns - you name it… however it was the Fish with white sauce - Patrani Machi - that was DIVINE - just DIVINE. I have gone for 2 Parsi weddings before (one in Valsad, where Sim & I spent a fabulous week & another in the same venue as Ana’s) and they both were great. Conclusion: I love Parsi food!
Here’s a pic of my banana leaves
right in the beginning (so you can’t see how much I really pigged out
