Been “under the weather” since yesterday (shortly following Raphael’s wedding, though it’s been looming around for weeks now). I guess the excessive work & partying has just caught up with me. Am on antibiotics and have pretty much slept through yesterday & today.

Have had to miss a Luncheon Party today and by the looks of things, will skip a Dinner Party tonight as well. Got a straight week of parties ahead of me right upto Christmas : 20 - 23, 4 functions; 24 Christmas Eve Mass + Open House Party. And unfortunately it doesn’t even stop there…. Let’s see how many more functions I’ll have to bunk!!

On an off note:
The term “Under the Weather” was a popular phrase for “ill” and dates back to 1827. It is commonly believed that bad weather can make you sick.

Some say that it is an old sailor phrase. When men were sick, they would rest below deck and thus were literally “under” the weather on deck
