Went to see ‘Briget Jones: The Edge of Reason’ with movie buff Ajay. He had hated the original (which I liked fairly) and loved this one - boy did he laugh loudly throughout.
I don’t know if I would have enjoyed the movie so much with anyone else (Aj’s laughter is very contagious) and the movie was just a bit too silly for me. Still it made for a very enjoyable night out (remember ‘Dude, where’s my car?’).
Renee looked terrible in the movie - gosh she really piled on those pounds, don’t blame her for not originally wanting to do the sequel. Colin Firth was as usual dashing and MAN do I wish I had a boyfriend like Mark Darcy… However without a doubt quodos to Hugh Grant, who in his few scenes stole the show. I think he’s never looked better.
In terms of acting, they’re all extremely talanted actors and played out even this silly plot with believability. The end had a bit of a twist wrt the character ‘Rebecca Gilles’ (which I won’t give out) but was a trifle much.
I don’t recommend the movie to anyone who wants to watch a movie with a sensible plot. But if it’s just a lot of silliness, one-liners and laughs your’re looking for, this would be it!

I’m really really surprised at what has happened to this blog. Is the skin changed?
So what do I need to knock off from the blog?

As for LOTR 3, help! Am still recovering from that!!
And what you don’t know is that he took me to Fame Adlabs (all the way somewhere far) and there were nothing but Hindi Movies running (that too, movies like Murder & Meenakshi which even you wouldn’t see).
So 3 out of 3 Aj bombed.
This movie worked because I CHOSE IT
Will NEVER make the mistake of allowing him to chose again.

I am so hurt. BTW Elvis, there is Santa vs. Snowman running once again
And why do you think I let Melody choose the movie? Because, then she just cannot grumble at me!
